Weigh in, August 14

Didn't get a chance to weigh in yesterday morning, so I did it today. Down another pound. I have hit the 15 pound mark! Happy dance with me!

And...about two and a half years ago I started losing from my highest weight ever. I'd fallen off the wagon for a while but hadn't regained it all. I'm down 23 pounds from that weight.

And, I'm noticing some changes...

Lately I've been feeling all kinds of woozy and light-headedness. My theory is that, now that I've lost some, my blood pressure medicine is working a little TOO well... Time to schedule a trip to the doctor to get it checked out.

Sunday, I was out in the garden wearing my favorite pants, when all of a sudden I wasn't wearing them anymore! Praise the Lord we have a tall fence and that our lettuce is five feet high! I've dropped a pant size. Not just a pant size, though - yesterday I went to Kohl's in search of my favorite pants in a smaller size. They didn't have them, but I did find some pants in a non-plus size that actually fit me! Yep, on occasion, I can actually buy from the top end of the Misses section. WOO HOO!

A couple of weeks ago, we had health exams for some life insurance we're looking to buy. We got the results of the blood tests over the weekend. Last time I had bloodwork done at the doctor's office, my cholesterol was a bit on the high side. This time, it's right in range. Yay!

So, I'll keep at it. I'm still not strictly following the plan, and yes, the weight is coming off s-l-o-w-l-y, but I'm eating sensibly (for the most part) and, I figure, the slower it comes off, the more likely I am to keep it off!

Another one bites the dust

Weigh in, August 6. Down one pound. That makes 14 so far! Yay! Three more and I'll be 1/4 of the way to my goal.

I'm kinda sorta following the program at this point. Not counting points, trying to stick mainly to the food list, but occasionally consciously going out of my way to completely blow it. It's interesting, the mind games I play with myself. But, I'm not going to keep losing forever, if I don't get re-motivated and get back on the program!

I did have a great "NSV" (non-scale victory) last week. Last fall, I bought a pair of pants online, on a Lane Bryant super clearance sale. They didn't fit when I got them, but since they were only $4 I couldn't see sending them back. Well, I tried them on last week and, lo and behold, they fit! That was great!

Now, I just need to get to the point where all the clothes that I loved (and kept) when I was at my goal weight last time fit me again!
